Key word there is "Alleged" I don't think I have seen a "perfect hood" EVER. Maybe once or twice on garage kept, one owner or two owner cars. But for sale? NEVER EVER seen a perfect one. They all been bowed a little in the middle. Or repaired there.
I have gone to look at a couple that were "perfect" only to find out they were real nice repair jobs, make sure you're getting what you're being sold.
I been out of the restoration scene since selling my '67 hard top a few years back.
I picked this up last month and excited to jump back in.
The car is original Tyrol Blue/ Parchment, YS 400, factory A/C, Auto.
The car needs a ton of new sheet metal, full floor, full trunk, full quarters, tail...
First time poster and thought I would take a moment and share the details of my GTO frame off restoration. I have a 66’ GTO convertible that’s been in the family since almost day 1. The car came off the showroom floor in Missoula, MT. It’s the car my parents drove off in when they got married...
I need the center vent duct and the passenger side elbow that goes to the vent. I also need the vacuum hose harness. If anyone has these parts or even part numbers for the ducts it would be a huge help.
Not sure where to post this so here goes. Starting to put together the 65, and adding a like new reel out trunk light. Can't find the proper location and don't remember seeing one installed. Any help would be appreciated Thanks.,
