I recently bought a 1969 GTO and have the original (according to the previous owner) wiper arms. The passenger side arm goes on the post easily but the driver side post has a "pin" on the post that seems to be preventing the arm from sliding on. Both arms are identical. I have attached pictures as this may help. Any thoughts or tips that would help are more than welcome!

I should have one if needed
If you find one local
Make sure it has the clip on the flat arm
It slides and clicks under the head of the stud
Look very close at that groove
Often the clip will wear the grove on the post in half or even cut it off
