Well, I'm only 38 years late, but I'm finally getting a GTO. Back in the 60's I was a Red Bow Tie guy and had to have the Chevy big block. Then I got married, had four children and went the station wagon/van route. When my son was 16 we got a 69 Camaro to work on together. He's married now, so I sold the Camaro to buy a 79 Corvette. NOW, my new daily driver arrives on Wednesday. It's Quicksilver with Hot Red leather and the 6 speed. I hope we are done with snow for this year, because I can't wait to start driving this thing.

I had a similar experience except I had my last GTO almost that long before I sold it recently. I'm waiting now for mine also. Congrats and good luck with your new toy. Still snow and potholes here also. Where are you from? :cheers

I'm from Michigan. I live in a western suburb of Detroit. We might get some snow tonight, according to the latest forecast.
