A friend and myself (both GOAT owners) are trying to transplant the FOB parts to another GM Key FOB. Then a little fabrication to make a somewhat normal key. I think something can be done. If anyone has done anything like this I would love to see it.

If the biggest problem you have is with the size of the key I say you are in pretty good shape.

I look at it this way: These days, any car you buy comes with a big, bulky key fob full of buttons; with the GTO, it's just combined with the key.

Still, if you happen to hug a co-worker, you'll have some explaining to do.

I got a kick out of it also, it is huge- but functional, so screw it. I did like the flip out key that my Crossfire had though- nice and compact.

I like it...but then if I'm walking in a dark alley or late at night, it really could turn into a weapon by lunging it into some ones neck if I'm threatened! I feel sorry for the jerk who tries to do that to me!!!
