I have a 1968 goat and have a bad case of wheel hop(12 bolt 4-11s) I bought a pair off latter bars from a guy, my ? is would it be better to weld them or bolt them to the frame? any Ideas would be great.
One of the advantages of aftermarket susepension upgrades is adjustability. If you weld them in, you'll loose that benefit. Certainly, you'd weld the mounting tabs, but want to maintain the tuning capabilities of the ladder bar.
The benefit of ladder bars or a 4-link set up is the ability to adjust instant center of the car which dictates how hard the tires are hit when you launch.
