So I ordered what was supposed to be direct replacement shocks and coil springs for the back of my car. With the old and new springs sitting in the floor, the new springs were 2.5 inches taller and were a progressive spring. My shocks were totally shot and stayed compressed when you pushed them in. Installed the new springs and shocks. It raised the stance in the back by 3.5 inches, from 25.5 to 29. The new springs are made by Precision Coil springs model # SP08011. The shocks are Monroe 33082. Pics are a before in the street and after in the garage.

I'm also going to be replacing the front soon. Right now, I have a 1.75 inch rake.

I can't tell if you are happy with the new stance, but I'm diggin' it! New front springs should level the rake out some.

Those are some huge tires you have on the rear. Any issue with rubbing? What size are they and do you know the back spacing you have? Mine is suffering from lack of traction.

255 70R15. Don't know about back spacing. They don't rub at all though. Didn't even rub before when the shocks and springs were bad.

I apologize if it's just me, but something does not look right with that spring seat. Maybe it's a bad picture angle? It looks like the spring is sitting on the axle tube? Is there a pigtail at the bottom of that spring, positively locked onto a perch?

Yeah, I think it's the angle. It's locked on.

Yes, stud is missing. It's getting replaced the next time the wheel comes off.

Yeah, I think it's the angle. It's locked on.

Good! There are spring variations from year to year, and it's not uncommon to see them wrong.

Yeah 255 are what Im going with, as well. But I think it's 255/50. They'll be the same height as my 245/60's, but an inch wider.
