My 65 GTO is being restored and there is now an issue with the transmission and shifter. Per PHS the car came with a 3 speed trans. When I bought the car in 1978 it had a four speed with console but a non Hurst shifter. From the markings it is a 70-74 trans. I have purchased the correct Hurst shifter for a 65 with console, but can't locate a mounting bracket that will attach to the tail shaft and to the shifter. Trans numbers are: Main case 3925661, tail shaft 3978764, front nose T89C-6A, side cover 335608. Front shaft splines 26, rear 32. The trans has been rebuilt and I had a new drive shaft built. Would appreciate any guidance on how to match the trans and shifter - or do I need to get a different shifter or a different transmission.

Thanks,
