I finally was able to get to the track in my 05 A4. My mods are predator tune and heat soak reduction kit. The temperature was about 50ish degrees, i let it cool down for a while after the 70 mile ride to the track. This is the first time i have ever run my GTO and all together after tonight the 5th time I've ever been down the track. I was a little nervous too so that didnt help much so here are the times.

first run

R/T ... .779
60' ... 2.164
330' ... 5.796
1/8 ... 8.729
mph ... 84.42
1000... 11.265
1/4 ... 13.408
mph ... 105.40

second run(last run)

R/T ... .552
60' ... 2.004
330' ... 5.610
1/8 ... 8.544
mph ... 84.34
1000... 11.086
1/4 ... 13.238
mph ... 104.96

I was asleep at the light both times but all together i was happy. I ran faster than i was expecting. So i let it be when i saw a 13.2. But i need to work on my launch and get my mph up a few more.

Thank You guys! I was launching it at about 1400 rpms give or take. It was kind of hard watching the lights and trying to load the car up too. I think when i get used to the car a little more my reaction times will be better. I think the first run i spun the tires just a little bit. The second run i rolled onto the throttle a little easier. I will probably go back before they close the track and try for a faster time. It is LOADS of fun and to think some lucky people get paid to do this:D

Good job! I have some questions What type of tires were you running? Also do you have any mods done? I ran Dr's on mine and did a 13.8 and I am bone stock. Just wondering because at your trap speed you should be able to get even lower. but anyways very good for the first time.:cheers

Thanks Vistalord! I think im gonna go back before the track closes and try to work on my launch to get my mph up and a lower time. For tires Im running Nitto 555's. And i have a regular predator performance tune and vectors heat soak reduction kit( it just relocates the intake air temp sensor to the airbox). When i got to the track it was about 50 some degrees outside and my intake temperatures were over 100 degrees. I turned the heater on full blast and jumped the cooling fan at the relay(s) and let them run with the hood up until my intake temps got down to about 69-70 degrees(viewing with the predator tuner). All you need to do is make sure your intake temps are COOL as possible or at least well under 100 degrees. Anything over 100 degrees and it retards the timing and zaps a lot of horsepower. This car is very sensitive to heat and it just wont run unless it is cool. The power difference between driving it first thing in the morning and in the middle of a hot day is VERY noticable, thats why i didnt even attempt to hot lap it because i was afraid of running a slow time. Just keep it cool and it will run;)
