I love this car!
I came from a 2006 350Z and a long line of imports. I have never owned a domestic until this car. I've got to say though the LS2 is an awesome motor. Love the sound and excelleration of this car.
The interior fit and finish is very nice too.
Here are some pictures. Sorry it's not super clean.

Awesome. What kind of wax are you using? I have experimented for many year on all of the balck cars I have owned, and the best wax I have found is Griots Best of Show Wax. Great job on the black, I personally know it is a lot of hard work!!!

Grats on the new car!

I'm curious what made you decide to get rid of a brand new 350Z, or what the story was behind that. If you don't mind sharing, of course. :cool
Well, the Z was a very nice car and fun to drive. Especially with the Nismo suspension, sway bars, and 19 Nismo LMGT4's. It handled like it was on rails.
Coming to the point, I have one child already and the Z is a two seater. My wife decided that she wants to have another child so 4 people and two seats just wasn't adding up.
The GTO had caught my eye and so I went to test drive one. Once I saw the interior and felt the power in person. MY mind was made up.
I sold off my after market exhaust and other parts. Traded it in for the GTO.
Been  ever since.

This is my first black car. I've always wanted black and when I saw the black on red I knew that was what I wanted.
I used Zymol yesterday, but that was all I had around the house and didn't have time to run out to get anything else.
Zymol works, but isn't the best wax I know.
On a side note there is a special about the GTO on SPEED channel right now.

Congrats. That's the same setup I just bought. Good luck trying to be nice during the break in period. Now go and cut those mufflers off!:willy:
Yeah, I've been thinking about what I'm going to do exhaust wise. I just don't want any drone in the cabin.
I know the dealership where I live sells the Corsa exhaust installed for like 1700 or something, but that is just way to much.
I've seen the Corsa for around $950.00 or so on different sites. I'd just like to hear it in person though.

A very good point. The GTO is probably one of the funnest cars that not only fits 4 people, but that you can fit 4 people fairly comfortably. Unlike an F-body or Mustang, you can fit somewhat larger adults in back without them feeling like they are sardines in a can (the F-body and Mustang will fit children/smaller adults OK in back).

Hey, I've seen one of those!!!

Well, almost...I got the black interior. I also waved and honked at my first fellow goat owner in Festus, MO this morning. Was in too big a hurry to hit some twisty roads before parking her for the day.

It is a beautiful car, and turns more heads than I wanted it to.*

* OK...secretly, I LOVE the attention.
