I was in a buddy of mines h-d truck repair shop today. he's a chevy guy n has a nice '65 impala. this summer he was given a '65 impala wagon he is going to restore. I was lookin it over and in the way back was a box of misc. parts. to my surprise was an original AC GF-61P replacement filter, never used. no repro, the real mckoy. this replacement filter is painted silver with the red printed AC logo, part#, n fuel flow arrow. these filters are very hard to find. a blue repro goes for $35.00. he made my day when he said "take it home". :smile2:

Congrats! If you actually wanted to use it, you could. I have used very old NOS filters with great results, provided that they had been stored properly and never got damp. The silver ones are super rare.....not sure of the application, but the guys on the 'other' forum would know. Earlier than the '65's, I think. Late '50's--early '60's.
