I have a 65 389 that the previous owner blew a head gasket and kept driving it. It burned a place in the block between cyl bore. Any ideas on reman short or long blocks for 389?

Can the block be decked to salvage it? If its original and in good shape other than that, I might even consider having the burned area welded up and then the 2 cylinders adjacent to it sleeved.

X2. Most of these blocks need to be decked anyway to set up for 'zero deck', and it may well clean up with a couple of passes. No welding required. Where I am, 389's turn up on Craigslist still.
