i have tried 3 or 4 different over the counter interior paints and none of them matched. i even took the column to the ppg dealer and they couldn't get it right. i need the universal code for dark sandalwood 0 golss. the codes i have are dupont 9704-l, ditzler 23311, rinished mason 170B50R. it is for the dash. i am also not sure what would be the best mothod of applying it. spray can, single cote, 2 stage?

You don't want the 0% gloss for the column, you need the low gloss, often referred to as 60% gloss. That Ditzler number is 23324. Remember the paint on there now has probably faded and may look light next to new paint. If you're going to paint everything, it will all match anyway. The best method to apply would be a gun and a bc/cc application although getting it in a spray can would be easier.
