New member introducing myself to the forum here. I just recently purchased a 1970 GTO coupe to replace the one I later regretted selling back in 1979. I have been a lifelong gearhead, most recently modifying and tuning multiple EFI (OBD1 and prior GM) vehicles, but always wanted another 1970 GTO and finally came across one that met the criteria I was looking for. Given I am more performance oriented, I wasn’t necessarily looking for a numbers matching original, just a solid rust free car in good condition. This car originally came from Arizona in 1984, began a frame off restoration that stalled out, sat in the garage until being sold in 2014, with the remainder of the restoration was completed over the next few years. On a high level overview it has a strong running 467 ci roller motor with an Edelbrock top end, 4 speed Muncie trans, and a 12 bolt rear with 4 wheel disk brakes. I plan on swapping out the Muncie to a TKO for the overdrive shortly, and eventually changing out the carb to EFI. I am looking forward to interacting with other fellow GTO owners and enthusiasts here on the forum.

Thanks - The air cleaner was on the car when I bought it, have plans to change it out along with the valve covers. I would like to get some valve covers with Pontiac logo, but have to find some to clear the roller rockers. Interestingly enough the original 1970 GTO I bought in 1977 and later sold had the same air cleaner.
