Called dakota gauges about where to connect my alternator wire and they tell me I don't need it. But mentioned possibly having charging???? issues if I remove the bulb. He mentioned the current does a continuous loop. Does anyone have any ideas if this is true, and can I tie my two wires together?
60s A and F bodys use the alternator/charging indicator bulb to supply a small amount of resistance to the alternator field. Without it the alternator will not charge or may need a throttle blip to start charging. I'd just tuck it up under the dash and leave it as is.
