I have a 1966 GTO. The pressure sender is connected to the oil filter housing with a 45 degree brass fitting. The engine has about 100 miles on overhaul. When I accelerate rapidly (less than 4K rpm) the brass fitting keeps breaking and lets oil blow out of the oil filter housing. I thought the brassd fitting might be too tight but the last replacement, I only tightened to little more than hand tight and still it blew/broke. The oil pressure seems to be unusually high, > 60psi. Could that be causing the problem or something else. Thanks. hdeanl

I agree. It would take thousands of psi pressure to break a brass fitting itself. Check for broken motor mounts, etc. Have someone rev the engine while you look at the fitting to see what's going on.
