Repairing threads on heater control plate in dash (pot metal?)

Hi Everyone,
In dismantling my 1966 dash bezel, I noticed that 2 of the 4 heater control bolts have stripped threads, so the "speed nuts" cannot be tightened fully.(most of the threads are good, except right at the bottom so nut cannot be fully tightened) I believe that the studs are pot metal. Anyone have any good advice as to rebuilding the threads? (I was thinking about trying to use some JB Weld to try and rebuild the threads, but I am sure that someone else has already figured out a better way). Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
