I am on the way home from a local 9 ball tourey tonight, and after dropping off my buddy at his house I was off to the convienience store to get some :cheers . I get to a light in town and I am sitting there when a Legacy GT pulls up and rolls down his window.
At this point I am sure I know were this is going and after he tells me nice car, he throws me a curve. He then tells me that his buddy behind him tells him that he can take me; I tell him maybe and look to see what he is driving. His buddy is in an RSX, not sure of the year but I think his friend said it was a six speed. I know that these are reasonably quick so I felt that this merrited a go, so a turn off my signal and proceed to the strip(6 lane downtown).
The guy was really cool and at the next light(a turn) we talked about the cars. The light turns green, it goes directly to an s-turn, so we are both loafing round in 1st. When we get to the straight I give him the thumbs up. He took this as go, I meant I am ready, so off he goes. He got most of a car on me and I put it to the carpet. I immidiatly began to gain and at about the top of 1st I had passed him. I let off and told him I wanted to go from a dig.
Again we are putting down the road at the blazing speed of 20 something. We catch a red light and I give him a nod, when the light turns yellow I load the torque conv to the tune of 2k, the light tuns green and I do the 2 seconds to the floor thing. I blew him away, by the time I was in second I could see him in my rearview. His big problem was traction from a stop, I could barely hear the LS1 grunt from his squeeling tires.
I then signalled in front of him and gave him a wave, he gave me a tute of the horn and I was off to get beer. So now I sit here a little confused as a tip back a brew, I thought all Honda guys were butt heads :lol: :cheers

nope, not ALL but some sure are!

Glad to see my launch method worked out for ya. :) when your ready, I can show you another way to leave even harder than you do now!

ok, the next thing I can teach you wont work until you can launch the way you already know without spinning. But here is a hint:

Your right foot is on the brake
the light turns green
you hit the gas only enough to get the car moving
once the car reacts, floor it

VERY VERY difficult to master properly but when you get it right, the guy next to you wont know what hit him.
