It was funny, the other day my fiance and I were heading up to the store and I let her rip pretty good up till ~60mph or so, so not very long. When we got to the next stop light she asked why the car was shaking so much.

This made my day. I told her that shaky idles are not bad but spared her the explaination on why. She thought something may have been wrong with the car as she's used to "regular" cars. I do notice while the LS1 is a very smooth motor it definity has a pleasing shimmy at an idle. The LT1 in my Formula never seemed to display such a manner. Man I love this car!

It's funny you mention this...

My buddy was sitting in my car the other day, while I ran into a convenient store real quick. When I came out, he mentioned the "rumbling" and "shaking" engine as well.

That may confuse her more, she's not a big car buff. She can however drive a stick well. She revs the engine a bit more between shifts than I tend to do. I love being the passenger occasionally, it's a different perspective than being in the drivers seat.
