Since I own a '64 GTO, I'm interested in some of the memorabilia. I was on eBay 10-15 years ago when I saw a neat Pontiac award that had a solid pewter '64 GTO on it. The bid went up to $500 without selling, so I figured the guy was just testing the waters. I kept my eye out, and a few years ago another one popped up. I made sure to get this one. It is a Master Service Consultant Award given out in 1996. They made 137 of them.

Here's a few other models I have. The ones on the upper left are models of my two 64's, and they're pretty good facsimiles. I apologize for the lousy picture. The sun was peeking through, and it was dark enough in my room I had to use the flash. I think you can get the idea.

Actually Jim it's the other way around, it is 1971 GTO Kit. The one you have is the second/later release which was incorrectly labeled as 1964.
It was a funky little kit that was motorized. The first release shown below came with the battery-powered motor while the second offering did not.
I have had both in the past when I was still collecting and still have one of the second releases that I built many years ago in storage.

I found this old sale for the 1995 award.

"This is the award that was given by GM to the Pontiac Master Consultants for 1995. It is a pewter model of a 1994 25th Anniversary Trans Am on a walnut base with a real glass cover. The base is approximately 10.25 inches by 6.50 inches. The award is heavy and weighs approx. 5 lbs. GM gave this style award from 1992-1996 with each of the five years having a different Pontiac model such as a Firebird or other year GTO. I will be listing the other 4 years also. I retired after 25 years as an Advisor/Consultant at GM dealerships and won a total of 15 Master awards over the years. After moving from a house to a condo I need to downsize. Original condition. Thanks for looking.E-mail with questions. 1995 award is marked 174/192 and the 1996 is marked 108/157. "

I have never seen #1 in a series on anything its was usally reserved or the display that was never given out. This is what I usally see number 174 or 108

That's the guy I bought it from. He had quite a few different awards, but I was only interested in the '64 GTO.
