Hi,
I am having trouble getting to the # 2 Spark Plug on a 67 GTO with factory air conditioning.
Does anyone have any tips to make it any easier?
Thanks
Phil

Not really - you sometimes have to get creative and just keep trying different tools, angles, approaches, universal joints, wobble extensions, etc. On occasion Ive used one of those specialty spark plug sockets, the kind that has the rubber insert and a hex-head shape around the rear of the socket. Put the socket onto the plug then use an open end or crescent wrench on the hex head.

Also, you may be able to get to it thru the wheel well opening with the front end of the car raised. Or, from underneath the car.

Thanks for the help

I used the T handled wrench as well a spark plug socket/ universal joint combo.
A standard 3/8" drive 13/16 spark plug socket would not even fit in ( I have 3 different 3/8 drive ones and even the shortest did.t fit)
I had to remove all of the AC compressor bolts except one ,remove the mounting bracket on the intake, then rotate the compressor up onto the valve cover and tie it there with wire. This gave me ample room to work.
It took over an hour for 1 plug - longer than the other 7 combined?
Thanks again for your insights.
