Tachometer Faceplate

I finally found my missing tachometer!

I bought it in the 90s and then I misplaced it until today. I want to install it, in place of the existing blank plate.I shone my flashlight from the back and ...the numbers glow nicely. I will run a wire from the coil negative using good procedures, and I will add 2 lamp sockets to fit the 5/8" holes.

How can I polish out the scratches on the faceplate?

The lenses are available from the various vendors.

BTW what type of dash do you have in your car?: 68 or 69-72? The tach you have only fits 69-72 USA dash style
Here is my dash. It is a 1969 Beaumont. I have the radio out for repairs, so I am reaching up to do other dash improvements. I will install the tach from below.

I want to change the dash lamps from 164 bulbs to LED equivalent. Also does anyone have the 2 lamp sockets to fit the tach or clock?
