Our government is at it's best when one party barely controls the senate, the other party controls the house, but just barely. We then have gridlock and nothing gets done.

The 84 DUI's don't count. Teddy was a repeat offender 42 times.

I wonder how the rap sheet breaks down by state? Who are the superstars on this leadership team?

Yeah, Teddy's gotta be in the top ten.

One murder
Countless DUI's
Involved in the nephew's rape night
50 years of defrauding the American public
An so on.............

Of course Massachusetts also contributed some other contenders.........

Barney Frank - "I didn't know my gay lover was running a butt brothel out of my DC apartment"
Jerry Studds - "I didn't know the congressional paige was underage when I got him liquored up and seduced him"

Dateline Thur May 4th 2006....

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Rep. Patrick Kennedy, son of Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Edward Kennedy, said on Thursday he was involved in a car crash on Capitol Hill that he blamed on disorientation from prescription medication.

"At no time before the incident did I consume any alcohol," Kennedy said in a statement late on Thursday.

In an earlier statement, he said only that he had no alcohol before the accident early on Thursday. Kennedy, a Rhode Island Democrat, was not injured.

In a statement on its Web site, the Capitol Police said it was investigating a traffic accident, but it gave no other details. A Capitol police spokesman was not available for further comment.

But the police union president Lou Cannon said Kennedy "appeared to be intoxicated and the officials were called to the scene at which time a determination was made to take him home."

Cannon said the incident took place near the Capitol, after Kennedy "was observed making some type of maneuver with his vehicle."

Asked why Kennedy was not arrested at the scene, Cannon said: "You'll have to ask the police officials who made that decision to delay the investigation."

Kennedy said in his statement: "At no time did I ask for any special consideration. I simply complied with what the officers asked me to do."
