Folks, with a very heavy heart I have some sad news to share. On Saturday, July 18th, 2015, we lost Neil (Topkat) to a fatal off-road vehicle accident. It seems he over-shot a hairpin curve in his dune buggy and was killed instantly when he struck a tree. He was 54 years old.....my age. His wife emailed me with the news and gave me the ok to share it with you. Although I never met him in the flesh, I did talk with him on the phone and shared emails with him. His overall unbeatable enthusiasm, zaniness, zest for life, and whacky sense of humor was contagious. His fearlessness to tackle difficult and unknown problems was inspiring. I felt he was a kindred spirit. Thankfully, he shared himself :Angel_anim:with us on the forum the past few years, and we all got to enjoy his company. He will be sorely missed. He was a Heckuva guy.
RIP, Top.

I would like to add my sympathies. I feel for his family. They will be in my thoughts. It's very hard to loose a loved one, especially one so young.

Damn, sorry to hear that. A big loss to his family and a loss to us on the forums. Always enjoyed his posts and chuckled when he screwed up.......and made me remember when.

Oh Man! I'm truly saddened to hear about this. The thing that I most respected about TK was that he was absolutely FEARLESS when it came to diving in and tackling anything having to do with his GTO. Having no prior experience mattered not to him. He was never afraid to tackle anything.

You'll be missed, Top.

VERY well said Jeff...I am shocked to hear the sad news. I frequently talked to Neil here on the forum...he never seemed to let life get him down. We lost a good friend. May he REST IN PEACE.

Thanks Eric. And thanks to the rest of you guys for sharing Topkat's memory and paying your respects. Rick nailed it: Topkat lived life at 100 miles per hour and got 100% out of his time here on this planet. He went out while he was having a blast. There are worse ways to go. Great hearing from all of you guys. Keep on keepin' on!

Whoa! I haven't logged on in awhile. I'm shocked and saddened. Please share my condolences if you're in touch with his family, GeeTee.
