Wow, having a hard time finding anyone with this cam for some feed back.
Anyone out there have one?
Im sure this is the one for me....and of course Thunder Racing thinks so too, as long as they get the sale.
But before I buy Im trying to get some input or suggestions on a better cam.
Im more interested in TQ gains than HP #'s...as this little piggy needs a little help getting off the line if it wants to go to the market quicker than all the other little piggy's.

..... they show a dyno graph with mods on a truck....
Baseline (Before Camshaft) Dyno Modifications:
K&N FIPK, Thorley Headers, custom y-pipe with no cats, 3" exhaust with cutout, 3.73 gears, electric fans, Diablo programmer.

After Camshaft:
TR 220/220 .551/.551 112 camshaft, ASP pulley, Yank 3000 converter, Thunder Racing custom tuning.
Before it made- 263.7 rwhp and 270.3 rwtq
After it made- 340.9 rwhp and 338.1 rwtq
Keep in mind this truck had a 3000 stall, sounds like a decent small cam. :cheers

Yeah, sad that all their other cams got #'s from f-bodies and the one I'm looking at is from a 5.3 truck. But I guess the end results are similar.
I just want to give the goat a little kick in the ass...not create a monster! :willy:
Guess small cams are old school now....Its all about the #'s
Oh well, Im liking the tr220 so Im sure ill get it.

I know what you mean, even though I'm one of the "big cam guys" (.603/.609 lift 237/242 duration 113lsa) your #'s should be damn close. Before pulling the trigger pm EDC on this forum, he builds custom cams I think, and if not he' very knowledgeable on the topic! :cheers

A friend of mine has a TR 224/224 and made 390ish with LT's and a cutout on his 02 SS. With the cutout closed, about 30 seconds after he starts it you can't even tell it isn't stock. It idles like a stock LS1 and it moves pretty good. 6 speed and he traps 113 and ran a best of 12.55.
