Is there any way to change the traction control setting to where it's OFF when the car is started, and has to be turned ON ? Rather than the default being ON and having to be turned off.

The reason is obvious to anybody who's done a wheel-spinning launch or pulled has fast shift that would normally spin the tires with the TC in "ON" mode - it's hell on your rear brake pads, and probably the clutch also.

There is, but it's not as simple as it should be. You can search this over at www.chirpthird.com

I had an '02 SS Camaro before the GTO, and there a wiring kit and switch some company came up with and sells over the i-net.

On the fbod's T/C is called ASR, acelleration slip reduction, even the dash switch was labeled "ASR"
