If I am seeing it wrong, then buy a different one, but looks like that is your fix.

The leg that hits the intake has a bent foot. Cut it down and no way to mount the bracket with both bolts. I was going to suggest a spacer under the top mount, but I totaled a GTO once using a rigged throttle bracket, so my recommendation is to return the defective part and get a refund and use a factory or quality part. The longer we 'make do' with crappy parts, the longer they will foist them on us.

Then there is no incentive for the manufacturer to clean up its act. My vote is send it back for a refund. Don't enable and promote sub-standard crap.

I wrecked my first GTO in part due to a defective tripower throttle bracket. My carbs stuck wide open and it ended badly. That was over 40 years ago. 'Crap' for throttle linkage is in no way acceptable to me. Nor will it ever be.

I went after myself. I was the one who jury-rigged it. Nobody was producing repro stuff in 1980. Lesson learned.
If you knowingly install a part that is a poor fit or poor quality, it's on you. Just like handling a gun or driving a commercial vehicle.

It would have been nice to know that the intake was a reproduction in the first place.
