Well this time I went down with slicks and ran 13.31 at 106 MPH 2.04 60 ft launching at 3000 RPMs and absolutely no wheel spin. last time out I went 13.27 at 106 and was spinning like crazy I dont get it. It was hotter this time 69 degrees and 99 % hum. Last time out it was 59 degrees and 50 % hum but that should make a difference. I have the heat soak kit so I know that is not it. So its back to the drawing board so I can figure out what happened------Danfigg

Keep working at it. You should easily be able to break the 2.0 60' with slicks.

Are you doing a good burnout before you leave? What air pressure did you have in your slicks? Is the Car an auto or stick? If it's a stick. Take your revs up higher. Try 4 grand. Should be able to cut a 1.7 on slicks fairly easily. Sorry for all the questions but I go to the track alot on slicks and might have a little advice once We know what your dealing with.

I hit 2.0x 60's on regular street tires.

Humidity will affect your times greatly, 99% humidity sure it wasn't raining or drizzling, I didn't see any mods listed besides the slicks, For being mostly stock slicks will make you run slower, A good drag radial would have been a better choice in this instance, Also with the fall conditions and cooler temps the car should run better.

Hey guys thanks I just found my post. I didnt know we had to be politically correct here and post things in the designated areas. Anyway I studied my slips and found that my runs from the last time I went and my latest show that with slicks I improved thru the 1/8 and fell off at the end. Im thinking she is leaning out. Here are my mods not many. K&N drop in filter, kooks axle back afterburners, H-pipe in place of resonator, and SLP 421 tune. The slicks helped by 60 ft but thats it. It didnt bog at 3000 rpms and it hooked good (M6) and my shift were quick and crisp. Yes it was 99% humidity it rained and cleared up but stayed cloudy. I still have to put my underdrive pulley on I am going to retune to stock put the pulley on and then retune and try one more time before the season ends thank for the advise and help guys oh by the way, I weighed the GTO and it was 3620 3/4 tank of gas, emptied out the truck no spare jacks rug etc and 3845 with me in it. I need to go on a diet.-----Danfigg
