Hi, I'm looking for a 1965 GTO survivor. It must be original paint and non-a/c. A number 3 car or better. Not looking for a deal. Willing to travel and I'm open to whatever you might have. Thanks in advance.

WOW ! You want a car with 54 year old paint.

But, I suppose such a car may be out there, in some collector's building full of high dollar cars.

And hey, we've all read about barn-find treasures.

Anyhow, hope you find the car you want.

The ad says that 1st car was repainted. So, it does not have the original, factory applied paint. Probably the same color, but NOT original.

I'm always leery of dealer talk. That 3rd ad says they're gonna put it up for auction one time, then if it don't sell, they'll do a complete restoration, and you can "name your price". Then they say that at the auction, "the highest bidder will be the new owner". The truth is that there will be a very high reserve price, at auction, and after the restoration, THEY and NOT YOU will name the actual final selling price.


Would be real interested in the prices cars such as these are actually selling for.

Any way to pull up auction or dealer sales price results of cars such as these ?

2nd car ad uses the term "389 Big Block" (-_-)
What it's not a big block? When you set a 389 along side a Honda 4 cyl, it's a BIG block, no?

Just goes to show that some buy the car because of its status and reputation that it still carries after all these years. They don't really know much about the car, except it is desirable, a muscle car, and can bring in a profit when you flip it at a Mecum or Barrett-Jackson auction. Other than that, it has the big block 389, Six Pack with cowl induction, M-20 Stone Crusher transmission, and a Detroit locker posi grip - gotta be worth 6-figures all day long.....:yesnod:

Mr./Mrs Wekipedia says

Pontiac differed from most other manufacturers in that the external dimensions of all their V8s, from 326–455 cu in (5.3–7.5 L) were the same. ... Pontiac did not have the customary "small-block" and "big-block" engine families common to other GM divisions as well as Ford and Chrysler. :nerd:
