My GTO was a street racer in late 60s. I took off Rally I wheels. Tires long since changed out. The rear suspension had a wedge in the springs. Springs do not look stock. Thinking about new Rally I (anyone suggest a source? I see a set at OPGI, on Ebay, Coker, etc.). 215/65/15 all around? Smaller front. I do like the rear higher than stock, but without making major modifications? Thanks for your help.

Also I see on other posts the original wheels were 14 inch. 14 x 7 with Redlines? T.A.? I am quite confused about tire size/selection front/rear. Any help greatly appreciated. Rubber spring inserts vs spacers? Detroit Eaton springs? I have tried to stay as original as possible.

Your car originally came with 7.75 x 14 tires. 195/83 x 14 or a 205/70 x 14 would be todays equivalent.
14 x6 were the original wheel sizes. 15” wheels and tires first became an option in 1970.
the rear coil springs utilized a thin rubber spacer at the top of the spring for noise control.

Thanks for your help. Same size front and rear? Thoughts on lift the rear 1 - 1.5 inches?
