Happy Easter everyone.
A friend and I purchased a very original, one owner 1966 GTO. We are completing a "light touch" restoration with the goal of minimal touch, mechanically sound, "time machine". One area that required a heavier touch was the interior.
Ordered all the interior from OPG, took a quick look at what was sent, all looked good. Dropped it off with a friend who does interior work. Got it back yesterday. Rear seat is clearly not an accurate reproduction, and we will have to redo it.
Question: Any idea as to the identity of the rear covers that were put on the rear seats? I have been combing with the google machine this morning with no luck.
First picture is original rear seats. Second picture is what we got back yesterday.
Looking back . . I should have pulled every nut / bolt / scrap of fabric and did a compare before dropping it off. . . . my interior friend could have also noticed something wasn't right, given the history / goals of the car. Oh well. . . . use to get spun up about this type of thing . . . now it is just another day.
